Biography

Samuella Ware is a Senior Research Associate I at ETR. Prior to ETR, She worked in HIV prevention for over 10 years and worked with various communities in North Carolina and Philadelphia. She first started as an HIV Medical Case Manger working with people living with HIV. She has worked on several NIH-funded research and evaluation projects focused on the sexual health of adolescents, Black cis-gendered women, and Black and Latino MSM and transgendered women living with HIV. After earning her doctorate in Public Health Education at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, she completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Drexel University’s College of Nursing and Health Professions examining anti-racist initiatives in healthcare and using an anti-racist lens to health equity. Dr. Ware's current ETR project portfolio includes Black Infant Health, COMPASS Initiative, and HepConnect.
