Biography

Rachael E. Gibson, Ph.D., MPH, MS, MEd (she/her/Ella) is a Program Development Manager at ETR. Rachael is an AASECT Certified Sex Educator and has taught comprehensive health and sex education worldwide, with over 20 years of experience in the field. Prior to joining ETR, she was the senior program manager of AMAZE Education and an instructional coach and content specialist at the New York City Department of Education, Office of School Wellness Program. In addition, she is an adjunct professor and has continued research partnerships in South Africa.

In her role at ETR, she manages the development and update process for Evidence-Based Interventions throughout the organization. Supporting multiple teams, she is dedicated to advancing sexual health education through curricula that are inclusive, science-informed, medically accurate, and aligned with ETR’s commitment to the Health Equity Framework. In addition, she supports partners in developing and publishing new curricula and various other projects across the organization.

Rachael has a BS in Health Science from the University of Arizona, a Masters in Public Health from California State University-Long Beach, a Masters in Educational Leadership from City College of New York, and a Masters in Sex Education and a Ph.D. in Human Sexuality from Widener University. In her free time, you can find her on the dance floor, sunning on the beach, hiking in the mountains, or traveling with her dog, Lola.
